It is sad- I really respected him- what a pioneer-
He played Hard-ons a few times apparently- he was never allowed to say the band name- apparently he had to say "HARD" then cough.

Still feeling his absence after his death a few years back...BUT..his son [Tom Ravenscroft] has been doing radio over here for a few years and is just starting to become better known - he even sounds uncannily like his dad!
Oh and Peely used to introduce you guys as "The Hard-UNS"...
